Back in 1969 at the 22nd Annual UOL Convention it was deceided to make the First Sunday after Ascension Priests Day as a way to honor their Spiritual Advisors. The UOL has since expanded the day to include ALL clergy and has called the day "Clergy Appreciation Day" and honors all clergy for their service.
