On Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM we had a UOL Members-at-Large (MAL) Zoom Coffee Klatch attended by members-at-large and their guests centered around the theme of what we’re grateful for. Participants included: Natalie Corwin, Shirley Duffy, MAL Liaison, Andrew Fournier (top row), Missy and Stephen Sheptak, Tracy Galla and Oxsana Byczkalo (second row) and Stephen Haluszczak (third row). We had DIY coffee and baked treats from Panera purchased with a gift card and Folgers coffee single or tea bag sent by the host Shirley Duffy. In addition to the things most of us hold dear like the Church, the Vladykas, clergy, family, church family, friends and pets, people were thankful for being able to work with young people with and without disabilities, help from family when facing health challenges and with things around the house, the privilege of being a caregiver for your Mom in her later years, the UOL, ASC especially Family Fest and the St. Nicholas encampment, the Ukrainian community and its organizations, and for all of the Pierogie workers whose efforts help to fund our churches. It was a nice way to get mentally and spiritually centered before the Thanksgiving holiday and Nativity Fast. We will have another UOL MAL coffee klatch before Great Lent. Please consider joining us.
